About

Beartooth Productions is a boutique video production company, founded in 2010 by Robert H Hanson Jr in Los Angeles, California. The focus of every Beartooth Productions project is a compelling story.

In 2013, Beartooth Productions produced the television series “Nock Out,” a competitive archery reality show which aired on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN). We currently have several projects in development and nearing completion. “Moving Target,” about cultural preservation in the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a feature-length documentary film with an expected completion date of late 2018. “Il Villaggio of Millbrook,” a short documentary film about the impact of Italian immigrants in a village in New York, is set to premiere in November, 2017.

The name of the production company comes from the Beartooth mountain range in southwest Montana, near Robert’s childhood home. The Beartooth mountains are known for their exquisite beauty and harsh, rugged terrain, exemplifying the dichotomy of nature. Beartooth Highway, which weaves through the mountains, is one of the most scenic drives in the United States, and is also one of the highest highways in terms of elevation, topping out at 10,947 feet above sea level.
